ShellBidder is an online marketplace focused on collectible marine and land shell specimens.

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of ShellBidder, including browsing listings, creating an account, placing orders and using related services.

By using ShellBidder or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

You are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and for keeping your login credentials secure.

You must not share passwords or use another person’s account without authorization.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless unauthorized access is reported to us.

ShellBidder aims to provide clear and accurate information for each specimen.

Depending on availability, listings may include:

• Scientific name
• Family
• Locality
• Size
• Condition grade
• Collection or specimen notes
• Photographs

Unless otherwise stated, photographs represent the actual specimen being offered.

Natural variation, growth marks, healed injuries and other characteristics may occur in biological specimens and are not necessarily considered defects.

ShellBidder aims to use current scientific names and recognized taxonomic information whenever possible.

Taxonomy may change over time as species are revised, synonymized or reclassified. ShellBidder does not guarantee that taxonomic classifications will remain unchanged after a specimen is sold.

ShellBidder may use collector-style grades such as:

GEM·F+++·F++·F+·F

These grades are intended as collecting guidelines rather than absolute scientific standards.

Customers should consider photographs, listing descriptions and individual condition notes together when evaluating a specimen.

Prices and the applicable transaction currency are displayed during checkout or on the relevant order summary.

Currency-conversion charges or exchange rates applied by a bank, card issuer or payment provider are outside ShellBidder’s control.

Submitting an order does not necessarily mean that the transaction has been completed.

An order may remain pending until availability, shipping charges, taxes where applicable and payment requirements have been confirmed.

ShellBidder may cancel an order if, for example:

• A specimen is no longer available
• A pricing or listing error is identified
• Payment cannot be completed
• Shipping the specimen would violate applicable law or restrictions
• Fraud or unauthorized activity is reasonably suspected

Any payment adjustment or refund resulting from a cancelled order will be handled according to the original transaction and applicable payment-provider rules.

Available payment methods are shown during checkout.

Any applicable payment processing charge will be shown before payment is completed.

Payment authorization and sensitive payment credentials are handled through the payment provider used for the transaction.

ShellBidder will never ask customers to send passwords, full card details or payment credentials by email or through the Contact form.

Shipping charges depend on factors such as destination, parcel weight and selected service.

Most lightweight international orders may be shipped using Vietnam Post Registered Small Packet, while express services may be available depending on destination.

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by postal operators, customs processing, weather, transportation disruption and other circumstances outside ShellBidder’s reasonable control.

Customers are responsible for understanding applicable import requirements in their destination country.

International shipments may be subject to customs inspection, duties, taxes or other import charges.

Unless otherwise stated, these charges are the responsibility of the buyer.

Some specimens may be subject to wildlife, trade, import or export restrictions. ShellBidder will only ship restricted specimens where applicable legal requirements can be met.

Returns, damaged shipments, refunds and payment adjustments are handled according to the Returns & Refunds Policy published on ShellBidder.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to remove consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

You must not use ShellBidder to:

• Commit fraud or make unauthorized payments
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems
• Upload malicious software or interfere with website operation
• Misrepresent your identity
• Circumvent trade, wildlife, customs or import restrictions
• Use the service for unlawful purposes

The ShellBidder name, website design, original text, graphics and other original website content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Specimen photographs and other content may not be reproduced commercially without appropriate permission.

ShellBidder may update, suspend or modify parts of the website when reasonably necessary for maintenance, security, legal compliance or service improvements.

Continuous or uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, ShellBidder is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from circumstances outside its reasonable control, including postal delays, customs processing or third-party service interruptions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

These Terms may be updated when ShellBidder’s services, payment options, legal requirements or operating practices change.

The latest version published on this page applies from its stated effective date.

These Terms are intended to operate under applicable laws of Vietnam, while preserving any mandatory consumer protections that may apply to customers in other jurisdictions.
